Containers

Nearly all international shipping involves the use of heavy steel cargo containers. Using their patented Structure-Lite panels along with their proprietary connection design, ICI has been able to create a durable, lightweight, foldable container to replace their outdated steel counterparts.

By being approximately half the weight of steel with the same strength, ICI’s containers drastically reduce the amount of fuel required to ship them around the world while increasing the amount of cargo the container is able to handle. Their weatherproof, leakproof, rot and mould proof design give them a 20+ year lifespan and being made from recyclable materials reduces their impact on the environment. Unlike steel containers, ICI’s containers have been designed to fold flat so a single flatbed truck is able to transport up to fifteen 16 foot folded units to a site where the cargo containers can be assembled in a matter of minutes without any tools required.

What improvements do your containers offer?

ICI’s containers have been designed to be lighter, stronger and more durable than their steel counterparts. Each container can fold flat to less than 23 inches allowing more of them to be transported in a single truckload instead of multiple trips. A single flatbed truck can hold up to 28 of the 7 foot collapsed containers, making for more economical single deliveries and reducing logistical costs. Once delivered on site the containers can be assembled by 2 people in as little as 3 minutes with no tools required for the job. These cargo containers not only outperform steel containers by being able to fold up, they’re also half the weight of steel while maintaining the same strength and load capacity. This weight reduction can drastically reduce transportation costs and improve fuel efficiency. With the Structure-Lite containers being composed of composite panels, the containers last longer and hold up to more than steel containers are able to. Both rot and mould resistant, the composite materials the containers are made from is also resistant to UV decay, impacts and up to 120mph wind gusts, making for a more durable and long lasting container.
